Favorites for Selenium IDE

The Favorites Selenium IDE plugin

We all have our favorites! My new plugin for Selenium IDE allows you to have favorites in Selenium IDE as well. This plugin is really simple, but I find it very useful. It allows you to add test suites to favorites. You can then load them with a click or load and run them with a ctrl + click.

Mini User Guide:

  1. Click on the favorite toolbar button to add the current test suite to favorites.
  2. Click on the drop down arrow on the favorite toolbar button to see the list of favorite test suites.
  3. Click on one of the test suites to open them.
  4. Ctrl + click on one of the test suites to open and execute them.
  5. You can also use the Favorite menu.

Get it now from the Firefox addons site.

I would greatly appreciate all feedback, comments, suggestions as usual.

Enjoy 😉

I would love to see special “Selenium IDE Favorites Bar” where i can put all my fav test-cases and run them without using Selenium IDE dialog. Possible ?

      Hi,

The next release of Selenium IDE will include automatic execution of tests on a time based schedule.

      Cheers,
      Samit

I’d also be happy to have, as the Favorites feature, a direct one-click run of the favorite cases. Probably as Firefox toolbar icon with dropdown menu with favorite cases. I create cases to run them, and standard way to access them is a headache. Even with Favorites! Dropdown menu available from Firefox toolbar would help a lot.

      Hi Jury,

Sounds like a good idea. My plugins for Selenium IDE require Selenium IDE to be active. If I ever get enough time I will consider it.

      Cheers,
      Samit
